The topmost stones of this wall were uncovered by the excavation of contexts 85 in the north and 89 in the south. Initially we thought that 126 was an earlier wall (than 82) because it was at a lower depth, but the stratigraphy of the room indicates that this wall was a later addition to the room: the ashy deposit (85, lower 114, 101, 106, 122, and 128) extending across the room goes beneath wall 126, so presumably the foundations of this wall were cut into this layer. It is, however, earlier than Wall 80. Perhaps it is concurrent with the hearth (96), but the stratigraphy is not clear enough to tell. There are two very different construction styles employed in this wall: a change from uniformly coursed small stones in the west to large, less uniformly placed stones in the east.

It is possible that this "wall" is actually two separate structures, or had two different construction phases.
