Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is very dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silt.
Notes:   After cleaning the eastern face of wall 10, we began excavating the space between the cistern and wall 10 in an attempt to detect further traces of the pit cut. The results were inconclusive, but we did come down upon a layer of densely scattered stone-- perhaps tumble from wall 10. Excavation was thus disbanded for this context.
