Description:   Top slope of the context is uneven. The soil color is very dark brownish grey. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is well sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   A soft irregular shaped context was removed just west of walls 199 and 198. The fill was soft and had much fewer inclusions than overlying contexts. The context was ended when the soil came down on to coursings from wall 198. The context maybe the fill that replaced a robbed out stone that would have been part of 199. The darkness of the soil may have to do with increased moisture content or a concentration of ash.
