Context:   215
Date:   2016/07/19
Stratum:   plant roots, pottery, tile, cobble limestone spherical semi-rounded, tabular well rounded, 40% inclusions
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark brownish red. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   The reddish fill was removed to further understand the extent of the so-called pit fill associated with context 207. This reddish fill appears to be similar to context 201 which also had a grey reddish soil color. Excavation showed that the underlying soil was the same as 207, the so-called pit fill. It is the same ashy chunky grey soil. This means the fill is quite massive may not be from a pit. (Or a just from a very large pit. The context also revealed what might be a cut. It's difficult to determine if this is a true cut from another pit or simply a depositional boundary.
