Description:   The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   - 31 is more reddish and better sorted than 25 and 27
Excavation:
- Remove reddish soil on top to reveal blackish soil underneath, similar to soil already revealed to W. half of baulk
- Aim is to reveal possible fill under possible floor level
- Bits of carbon and plaster mixed with matrix of excavated soil
- Once more reddish soil removed from E. half of baulk, earth underneath seems to be of same sonsistency and color as soil revealed in context 27 to the W.
