Description: | The soil color is dark greyish black. The soil compaction is soft. It is clayey silt.
Notes: | -41 is darker and slightly harder than 39; 41 is more greyish and softer than 43. - Excavation of earth in this area revealed possible surface underneath, although this is still rather soft. It also revealed two things about the adjacent walls: 1) wall 35 ends only after one course and lies on top of the level exposed in the N. half of the room (until now unexcavated) with harder reddish earth; this is possibly a surface that goes with wall 35. 2) the possible wall face revealed in context 39 now seems to be an earlier wall partially underlying wall 34. This goes lower than wall 35 and is likely earlier, going with an earlier surface that has not yet been revealed in Room 3. - Level underneath 41 is harder with more reddish and whitish inclusions, alhtough more needs to be exposed to determine if this is a floor level going with wall 42. 7/6/16 Bones: 6; 0.6 g
