Title:   Room 1 - Fill South of Wall 18
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1111
Context:   56
Date:   2016/06/06
Stratum:   20% roughly-hewn stones, which probably represent debris belonging to wall 18 or wall 42.
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   We opened context 56 to try to clean and expose the southern section of the drain, south of wall 18. We did not find elements of the drain, but we uncovered a wall running east-west, parallel to and north of wall 42. Very few inclusions were found, with the exception of some roughly-hewn stones, which probably represent collapse debris from wall 18 and/or 42. After reaching the new E-W wall, we closed context 56 and ended our excavations in and around room 1.
