Description: | The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes: | We begin to excavate 1048 upon completing 1045; the former seems to have been truncated on its N by the Robinson excavations. This whole area N of wall 918 was suspected of being dump fill from those excavations, but that is clearly not the case. Panos believes that the underlying fill runs S under the new scarp created; [we will move to that next]. No we won't. That red fill is covered by fill at its E uncovered by this morning's cleaning.
