Stratum:   40% inclusions; mostly tile, some ceramics, bone, lime bits, carbon
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   After removing the dark red fill to the N of the trench (deposit #1125), we resumed digging the tile fill of the robbing trench. This new context is pretty much identical to #1124, with the same type and percentage of inclusions. It appears to go deeper than trench 1121/1122 without the lowest foundation course that we found in 1121/1122 (structure 1123).
We are digging this trench to better understand the depositional history of this area.
As we go deeper, there are somewhat fewer tile inclusions. The soil beneath was lighter and did not include tiles. We are going to call the robbing trench C1127. The soil beneath is very hard and flat, ruddy, with some charcoal specks at the surface.
