Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the SE. The soil color is very dark brownish red. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is coarse sand.
Notes:   This context is the western area of redder soil exposed by context 1149, lying north of wall 366 and south of surfaces S911 and S912. In the field we are interpreting it as a sort of destruction fill, but it is unclear whether it post-dates surface 911 (i.e. this is fill in a cut through the surface, like context 1149) or it predates the surface and cobbles (i.e. continues beneath the cobble layer exposed in the excavation of 911). Kate thought that we should have taken cobbles out first to see whether it continued, but Thanasis thought that the cobbles continued downward based on reading the E scarp, and that the material underneath surface 911 was different from 1150. Either way, we excavated out of sequence here and need to wait for pottery reading to resolve the phasing.
We closed the context when Thanasis reached a homogeneous rocky layer under 1150 which seems to be the same as that exposed by 1149. This appears to be the bottom of the cut as well, so we have designated the cut through floor 911 as 1152.

After reading pottery and examining the Harris Matrix relationships, we concluded that 1149 and 1150 were both fills in cut 1152 through surface 911.
