Notes:   [Recorded in the field with Kris Lorenzo].
EXCAVATION NOTES:
Soft loose deposit first revealed under B97, but also under B126, B122.
Related to disturbance in the area?
A thick root (ca. 4 cm diam.) sticks solidly out of deposit at the beginning of excavation (from tree pit B21/B25?). There are *a lot* of roots in the area enclosed by B127.
We're not sure if this is an actual bothros or not--the darker color distinguishing B127 from its surroundings is disappearing, leaving the deposit rather shallow for a bothros (unless a lower level of fill is a different color).
B127 has been extended east a lot further than we initially thought it would run.
B127 cuts the rest of the soil under the clay floors.
We decided it's not a bothros, but just a lens of soft soil.
More soil has been revealed below that is browner in color.
