Stratum:   20% very poorly sorted inclusions of sherds, bone frags, tile frags, small and medium pebbles (rounded, sub-rounded and angular), small cobbles (sub-rounded) in a soft dark reddish brown sandy silt. Colors range from light yellowish white to dark reddish
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the NE. Bottom slope of the context is slight. The soil color is mixed. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   The shape of the pit, and thus this layer of pit fill, is subrounded. The shape of the cut is slightly irregular - on the W side the cut is rather straight (due to the presence of the N-S wall being revealed there?), but the rest is curving in an oval shape.
We first sieved only 50% of the soil, but after we saw how much material was being recovered with the sieve, we switched to 100%.
B144 comes down on several new lenses of fill inside this pit. In the center is a patch of black ash, on the N1/2, under the ash, is a deposit of very pebbly whitish soil, and at the E and W edges, there are more tile frags and cobble inclusions.
