Stratum:   Inclusions: 25% small pebbles, less than 5% large cobbles, roots
Description:   Top slope of the context is uneven. Bottom slope of the context is uneven. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Basket 150 is a harder, uneven clump of soil in the south edge of the pit fill. We take it out now because it may sit on top of the layer in the northern edge of the pit. There are more large cobbles in this layer than we have seen as of yet.
We are pulling up bone and pottery out of this layer although it seems to be not as much as the last basket above it.
We have come down in the southwest corner of the pit onto stone that seems to be flat large stones laying flat next to this "wall" corner. It is possible that we have found an earlier wall.
We found bits of wet wood which, if it is ancient, could suggest that this pit was a well.
The top edge of the corner block which I mentioned has coordinates of: N 1007.46, E 270.00, and H 86.29
Found:
3 coins, glass, iron, bronze, wood, bone, pottery
