Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light yellowish grey. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   301 is a small patch of silty clay possibly overlying one or even two robbing trenches. We opened 301 to get a clearer picture of how the two possible robbing trenches relate to eachother. The only thing we know for certain as we open 301 is that the robbing trench heading towards 301 from the west is clear and definable up to the western limit of 301. We do not have it on the eastern side.
After 301 is emoved, it is clear that the robbing trench (304) we see to the west (fill 303) ends under 301. 301 overlies the eastern end of the trench and the hhard red soil to the east.
