The soil color is brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand. | | Notes: | | This layer of blackish brown soil was removed by thhe first round of cleaning for this section. The diggers agree that the soil was the same color as that found in 434. The cleaning revealed a layer of blondish soil on the upper part of the site. The soil in the indentation to the immediate west and south of the stones dividing trench B54 remains a blacker color. The section is bounded on the E by trench B54 and on the W by the scarp bordering context 411. On the N the rough border is the small indentation at 1011.75 and on the south by the intersection of walls 365 and 332. The cleaning was done to remove sediment that had accumulated since the 2008 excavations.
Later Notes, 3/4/09: Context 437 is above context 439 and below bulldozing operations that too place in 2008.
