Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is compacted. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This context is the excavation of a dumped fill north of c272, at the northernmost part of our excavation area (see plan). The context lies west of the cut pebbly surface. Between the pebbly floor and this context we exposed a deposit with snails and shells - we think that they form a separate deposit. We think that this context forms a crast that partially covers the deposit with the snails.
During the excavation of this context Kostas noticed that there is a cut on the western side. This might be a cut for a robbing/foundation trench associated with a possible wall visible underneath. As expected the deposit with the snail shells goes underneath context 490. On the southern side of context 490 there is another cut that forms the northern boundary of the snail shell deposit. We closed this context and we will continue with the excavtion of the deposit south of the snail shell deposit.
