Stratum:   Soil is soft, powdery, very poorly sorted sandy silt with 70% inclusions - stones of various sizes (pebbles to boulders).
Description:   The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This is the top layer of debris which has been left by the 1961 excavators as a sort of continuation of the N wall of Room F to the E half of Room F.
It appears to be made of several strata so we are removing each stratum in a separate basket, of which this is the top.
Large boulders removed with hands.
It seems that they believed that the area we are excavating was actually part of the wall, when they left this here in 1961. It appears as a wall on the plan without having been excavated down to the actual wall.
