Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. Bottom slope of the context is slight down to the SThe soil color is dark reddish grey. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We are digging an ashy layer N of Bothros 7. We are trying to clarify the stratigraphy in this area. This ashy soil comes down onto a dark brownish red soil with no ash in it: here we switch baskets to B 5043. We thought this might be a lens of fill in a pit, but it does not seem to have a defined border like I'd expect for a pit - I think it must be dumped rubbish.
