| Notes: | B5104 is the excavation of a possible bothros that was revealed by B5096. After excavating B5104 it was determined that it was indeed cutting into what has been called a floor, which basically constitutes the bottom layer of B5096. A small amount of pottery was recovered from the bothros mixed with roof tile fragments, some small to medium sized cobbles and a fragment of an orbeum. Also a piece of stone flooring with floor mortar attached to it was recovered. B5104 was stopped because a more compacted reddish soil was uncovered after excavation. Note: In the top plan of B5104 it appears that the bothros is attached to the E side of wall 22(NB228), but this is only because this area was picked in order to identify the boundaries of the bothros. In the top plans that follow this basket (e.g. B5105) the real boundaries of the bothros are noted. | |
