Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Context 516 is the excavation of the second from the top pit fill of pit cut 517. The pit is located in the room bounded by walls 313 to the east and 332 to the west. Like the context 515 that overlayed this deposit, context 516 is also truncated by the pit cut 513. Context 516 contained within its matrix the boulders and tile fragments revealed by the removal of 515.
The excavation of context 516, including the removal of the boulders and tiles revealed the sloping wall of the cut which consists of a yellowish greay clay matrix. The removal of the deposit 516 also revealed a semi circular cut in the clay deposit that forms the bottom of the pit cut 517, indicating the pesence of an earlier pit The removal of the pit fill 516 revealed the extent of the pit cut 517, which is relatively shallow and cut through both the clayey matrix and the fill of an earlier pit.
