Stratum:   5% clay sherds, stones
Description:   Top slope of the context is uneven. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silt.
Notes:   We excavated here in order to figure out the meaning of this gap in between two large square stones in the N-S wall and whether we could determine if the E or W of this wall or both were interior spaces. In the excavation we came down on the stones left from the robbing operation. What is missing from the wall was possibly a lintel stone between two large orthostats which extend further down into the wall.
The soil is possibly natural humus or mix with active fill dumped into the robbing trench, date undetermined. Difficult to say whether it overlapped lintel course 5193 since the soil which revealed it on other side (5180) was of similar color and texture.
