Stratum:   Inclusions: 5% carbon; 10% sub-rounded spherical & tabular medium pebbles to cobbles; 15% sherds; little wall plaster; 5% tiles; small lumps of white clay
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark brownish red. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We are continuing to dig the foundation/robbing trench along W26, but we have changed contexts from 5208 because the soil now has notable carbon inclusions and is closer to the pit dug last year (2007). 5210 lies W of 5208.
The soil below this context is noticeably redder and has some ashy deposits. The soil below also seems to have fewer inclusions.
We are continuing to dig this foundation/robbing trench as a new context, 5220, because the next section of the trench to the west has many large cobbles and some small boulders. 5220 is W of 5208.
