Description:   The soil color is dark yellowish red. The soil compaction is weakly cemented. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   We start taking context 5277. It is defined as being a much more compact and redder than the soil to the southwest. As we take away the more compact surface, the looser tile layer extends further north and under the surface expected. We continue to take another pass over the more compact soil. Along the boundary of the hard and soft soils a bronze ring was found at 85.30 El. The looser layer with debris that we come down on has flecks of charcoal in it. Fragments of mud brick are coming out at the layer of the debris as we come down on it. As the layer of debris is now visible, all across the area south wall 5216, we stop at this level. Two pieces of mudbrick found.
Revised Interpretations for clarity
Context 5277 was more compact and redder than the soil to its SW. As we removed it, we come down on looser soil with many tile inclusions. This soil extended far north under context 5277, and it had flecks of charcoal in it.
