Stratum:   Tile 10%. Pebbles, Fine to large, angular spherical and tabular 15%.
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is very dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We are removing a surface like layer from south of Wall 5411. We come down on tile laden soil. The tiles are large and laid flat or gently sloping. Some broken tiles have joins and they are of a similar type in general. The soil on top of them is quite silty. Possible destruction. Moving from west to east, we encounter firmer and more compact soil even if the west face of the scarp shows that there are tiles beneath. We will change contexts before we excavate this soil. This will be context 5460.
