Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. Bottom slope of the context is slight down to the NThe soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   After completing B53, Cleomenes excavated B55 directly to the N. B55 was cut by B53. B55 is the next lens of fill to be excavated in this area because it overlies several other deposits and nothing overlies it or cuts it.
Initially, Cleomenes began excavating B55 in the center of the deposit, where lay a grouping of large stones, grey ash and yellowish soil was visible on the surface. He followed this deposit outward until he found the boundary of it in all directions.
