Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is well sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   This context was excavated to expose the north face of Threshold 5919, and to determine if there are other surfaces beneath. The context was identified as a floor by its hard texture, though it gets slightly softer along the south, next to Threshold 5919 (possibly due to a foundation trench or root action). A couple of stones poked up through the northernmost part of this unit, but the workmen are confident that this is a surface.
The bottom of this unit exposed a hard patch of reddish soil to the north (about 1.10m x 0.75m), and softer brown soil with a lot of pottery inclusions to the south. This soil is at a lower elevation that the harder red patch (5920), and seems to be running under it. They will be removed as two separate units.
