Description:   The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is well sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Context 6053 a cleaning of accumulated silt which has been trampled into a falso archaeological layer. This cleaning will expose a hard-packed layer beneath which runs parallel to wall 5463 and turns the corner north into the threshold.
10/4/09 - Cleaning continued around wall 5463 to enable hard surface in courtyard to be removed. Cleaning exposed foundation trench for wall 5473. Also an accumulation on NE corner lying above foundation trench 6056.
