Stratum:   Pottery sherds, coarse angular pebbles, bits of crumbly mar
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. The soil color is dark brownish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silt.
Notes:   This fill was underneath a wall (10088) which was made up of 3 square blocks with rubble. To the north was a trench dug in the 1960s which cut into this context. To the east is Wall 10087. We removed the wall because we thought it might overlay a pebble floor to the west. The fill of brownish soil with some pottery/tile inclusions was removed and revealed a rubble foundation (mixed with sherds, tiles) beneath it, which now appears to cut through the pebble floor. It seems that the fill of soil had just collected between the two different types of construction techniques in the wall.
