Stratum:   This soil was a dark reddish brown sandy silt. It had 15-20% inclusions of carbon flecks, pottery, bone, pebbles, and tile fragments. The soil is softer, redder, and has more inclusions than 6146.
Description:   The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We are excavating a leveling fill [6152] to the north of 5552. This layer was distinct from layer 6146 on the basis of color, inclusions, and compactness. It may be equal to 6140 as they are similar in color and composition and both overlay the greenish white clay layer which we have not gotten to yet. 6140 is directly south of 6152, although they were cut/separated by wall 5552 (now removed). It is thought that they are equal because they both seem to lay on the same clay layer. There was a nearly complete vessel found at E 276.06; N 1026.92; H 84.73. After the removal of 6157, and removal of leveling fill 6152, two more blocks belonging to threshold 5671 were revealed.
Upon removal of the leveling fill 6152 and removal of a threshold component, two more blocks belonging to threshold 5671 are discovered towards the east.
