| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is very dark greenish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt. | |
| Notes: | This context was opened after 6474 was excavated about 0.50m. The soil continues to be very dark and very moist. The pottery is different from previous contexts - few glazed vessels, and those that are glazed look earlier than 1280 +/- 10 but are still 13th century. However, the size of the fragents remain large, w/ several complete vessel profiles, cooks pots, pitchers, etc. Bones are large as well (looks like horse?). The soil still has a high clay content. The dry sieve continues to produce fish bones, fish scales, egg shells, some charcoal, as well as glass, bronze fragments, iron objects (e.g. nails), etc. Egg shell wt 7.1 fish scale wt .5 | |
