| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark greenish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy clay. | |
| Notes: | Context 6518 was opened when we hit water in the well. The soil in the previous context (6515) became increasingly damp. When buckets of mud and standing H20 came up, and when Stamatis reported water bubbling up, we began context 6518. The muddy buckets were laid out on plastic to dry over the weekend, but after laying out 5 buckets, we determined that it would be more efficient to clean the dirt/mud with the hose over the water sieve. The five buckets were left to be dry sieved and 17 buckets went to be sieved in water with a 5mm screen. Egg shell wt .2 | |
