Name:   Nezi Field, context 6542
Area:   Nezi Field
Context Type:   Fill
Title:   Dumped tile fill
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1103
Context:   6542
Page:   0
Date:   2009/06/01
Stratum:   90% tile with some small angular cobbles, some bone and pottery
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   6542 was opened as a deposit with few inclusions that overlies the west end of the tile deposit 6541. It was thought that the tiles were overlying the soil, but as we dug 6541, it became clear that the soil was overlying the tiles. 6535 also covered the western part of these tiles and it is probable that 6535 and 6542 are part of the same fill. We will dig the dirt fill first and then return to the tiles.
Notis clearly misunderstood our directions and after he excavated the dirt of 6542, he continued excavating the tiles right after. He continues to trace the side of the cut and remove the tile. 6542 should be considered equal to 6541.
Notis seems to be going for the bottom of the cut.
