The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. | | Notes: | | This context 6595 is a floor surface on the northeastern baulk in the room (the baulk bounded by 6148, 6224, 6273 and the 60s trench to the E of 10095). This floor is a long section resting on a pennisula of dirt curving around the north & west of pit 6224. Excavation of this context revealed another surface with flat lying tiles (84.93, context 6602) to the north, and at the south a context slightly higher in elevation (ca. 0.01-0.02). The northern context is redder and softer, while the southern bit is harder and less red. We excavated the southern portion as 6596.
