Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. The soil color is light brownish grey.
Notes:   Context 6627 was a patch of soil that had been revealed during excavation of the scarp. It rested on the southern of two blocks that may be in a line at the NE corner of the well and the NW corner of N-S cut/pier RT. The piece of soil was removed because Thanasis the pickman thought it might be outside a well foundation trench (6635). Excavation further revealed that the area all around 6627 had been severely disturned by a tree/bush and was probably broken away from the well a little. We decided that this area NE of the well would be initially excavated as if a 'cleaning' basket since the context had been soo disturbed by the tree.
We were not able to record the excavation details (soil, inclusions, etc.) because 6277 was excavated between 7:00am and 7:30 (when we arrived).
