Description:   The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Context 6642 is the fill for cut 6641 which extends in an arc around the N side of well 6638 - semicircle only. The trench is fairly shallow, so it is unclear what the purpose of this trench is. It seems too shallow for well foundation. Possibly the trench is related to some phase of initial constructionor possibly repair. There is some dumped rubble that seems to be part of the well construction on the N side.
