Description:   The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   When we excavated foundation trench 6616, we were puzzled as to why the trench did not continue the length of wall 5519 as we expected. We discovered that the wall was actually created in at least two foundation events: an early one represented by foundatin trench 6647 and a later one represented by 6616. The proof for the two separate events is the fact that 1) The two cuts cut different surfaces (in the case of 6616, the surface exposed by 6624 and in the case of 6647, the surface exposed by 6624 and also cut by bothros 6645 and 2) The foundation trench 6647/fill 6646 are cut by bothros 6645.
When we excavated the fill, it was difficult to reveal more than the tops of the foundation stones, as they project from the wall and the trench is narrow. The stones do not appear dissimilar to the other stones of 5519's foundatons, though they do project slightly more.
