Description: | The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes: | Context 6664 is a dumped fill likely used for leveling for floor surface 6477. It runs along the north side of the Ottoman house foundation corner in room W. of courtyard in Byz. House. This fill is truncated by Ottoman foundation and this fill truncates what appears to be a foundation trench for wall 5724. This dumped leveling fill was originally thought to be equivalent with context 6658, but the difference in inclusive material seems to preclude this. Both levelling fills, however, seem to be for the same floor (6477) so are likely contemporary.
