Notes:   Cut 6688 is the foundation trench for the rubble fill of wall 5678. The cut is equal to the fill, in terms of dimensions and elevations, because the rubble fill of 5678 completely filled the cut. The most likely method of construction is the following: a trench (= 6688) was cut through earlier floors, after which, the space was filled with assorted rubble and dirt. The original wall was then founded on top of the rubble foundation fill.
