Stratum:   Inclusions - stone, pottery, bones, iron, marble
Description:   The soil color is light reddish black. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   This context is the n filling of the robbing trench, 833, and it seems to be the remaining part of the foundation for the e-w wall, as context 798 for the wall 747.
CORRECTION - After some initial confusion, this layer appears to be the same as the other black fills in the east part of the trench near the wall stub. This layer extends from wall 540 in the east along the e-w robbing trench on its north side. It came down on a hard-packed red soil layer filled with many tiles and ceramic sherds that remains unexcavated.
