The northern foundation trench for this wall was discovered and excavated on 30 May 2013. The foundation cut is context 1166, and the fill for the foundation cut is 1164. The pottery from the fill was analyzed and dated to the mid-6th century AD (Late Roman period) based on an Eastern Aegean micaceous fabric stewpot as Hesperia 2005, 2-35. The construction of the wall therefore dates to the mid-6th century AD.
