Description:   The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   We are excavating this portion of N balk in order to see the full extent of the floor 936, which may cross E of robbing trench 818.
Some big pieces of tiles were present in the E extension of this fill, whereas in the remaining part is was poorly soorted and few small pieces of tiles were found in it.
The excavation of 939 reveals that the floor 936 indeed ends S of the robbing trench 818 and it does not seems to be the same hard-packed strip E of 818.
The context, being a balk, is limited to the rectangle we are digging, which is clearly a fraction of its original extent. Directly below it was revealed a possible floor surface that crosses the robbing trench and is apparent along the S side of the trench directly below floor 936. The floor runs the length (E-W) of the balk and drops off to the N around the center.
