Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. Bottom slope of the context is slight down to the WThe soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Found a metal pipe, bent, with one end pinched shut, in situ--Kleomenes says it was used to hold up a tree while it was growing. Tree pit B21/B25 was nearby and there are still thick roots visible at the elevation of B93. This shows that we are still dealing with contamination from the modern orange tree orchard in this spot.
Revealing a deposit that appears to be the same as under B92 to the north [Later note: this deposit excavated as B126].
The top elevations for B93 are reconstructed from the bottom elevations of B92, B89, B78, and B80--at the end of the day on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, the total station was reading the elevation ca. 1.5m too high - a human error in data input in the total station. Unbeknownst at the time, however, and for an unknown reason, the dumpy level was also providing incorrect elevations, ca. 0.2m too low.
By the time the error in the dumpy level readings was realized, B93 had been excavated below its top elevations.
