Stratum:		30% coarse pebbles, 20% medium pebbles; some carbon
Description:		Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:		This context is part of a soil surface that was likely cut by context 87, and foundation trench 86. Excavation uncovered a semi-circular cut into the bedrock at the NW boundaries, like the ones found at the bottom of context 87. this semi-circle appears to have been cut by the foundation trenches for walls 44 and 38 and the later robbing trenches. It seems to be a surface or fill of some sort. Further excavation uncovered another semi-circle at the SW boundaries, similar in width to the NW one and also cut by the foundation trench. We will stop at this level and open new contexts for each semi-circle. July 26: two coins from water sieve
