Context:   101

Lot:   Lot 2015-055
Stratum:   30% coarse pebbles, 30% fine pebbles
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   More compacted than 87
This context consists of a soil fill of circular cut into the bedrock (maybe cut into the bedrock or just an oddly-shaped soil lens). This context might be equal to 87 (though the soil color is a bit different) or part of an earlier cut and subsequent fill. Upon excavation is is clearer that there is a circular cut into the bedrock that makes a complete circle. We excavated down to bedrock, but there is a small, circular depression cut deeper into the bedrock on the northeast side, though still pretty central. The elevation of the bottom of the depression is 81.143.
N.B. the soil does include some carbon, but it is less than 5%.
