Stratum:   30% coarse pebbles, 60% carbon
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is dark brownish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This context consists of another fill of a semi-circular cut into the bedrock in the SE quadrant of shop VI, this cut is located in the SW corner of the quadrant, eas of wall 38 foundation trench (86) and north of the marble bench (17).
Though at first it seemed that his fill was equal to context 102, the soil is darker and contains significantly more carbon than the soil in 102. Moreover, the cut was not very deep (not as deep as 102) and also had a flat base and straight walls. Excavation stopped at bedrock and due to the high carbon content, a sample was taken for flotation at the water sieve (40%).
