Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is light brownish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   This context is a martyr left at the N end of drain 107. It is likely that the drain was cut by the RT and that part of this context is the same as the RT. It is likely that the drain was perhaps blocked unintentionaly by the stack of stones that were the martyr at its N end. The stones sat on top of a layer of soft soil with carbon (likely the same as 98). If the drain was in use for a while after the construction of the south stoa, it is likely contemporary with the Roman remodelling when the back wall was moved further north (so first face of Room C)., but is earlier than the creation of the mosaic room. The drain itself is therefore evidence for an intermediate phase perhaps in the 1st century AD. We stop digging at the soft carbon layer as we are digging to the W in order to expose the whole context.
