Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes: | This context is being excavated seperately from contex 24, since the N edge of 24 (south edge of 29) revealed the boundary of the robbing trench of the E-W wall. It contains a greater quantity of tiles than the rocks to the south (24). Revealed compact layer, potentially a floor. We think that the tiles were the last level in the mosaic leveling courses. If so, context 29 is equal to 24 and 28 in the Harris matrix. Context 29 was dug short of its drawing - a boundary was found along the northern edge, indicating that the northern most section was more akin to 28, than the soil and material of 29. The westernmost section was found to extend farther north than previously thought as well. The westernmost section was found to extend further north than previously thought as well. This boundary is indicated by a dotted line and sloped lines on the drawing for 27. It was a diffuse boundary prior to its incorporation, and now a sharp boundary between 28 and 29.
