Lot:   Lot 2015-054
Stratum:   40% tiles (Roman), 40% cobbles and boulders. 31 has more tiles than 28.
Description:   Top slope of the context is 81.44 down to the NW. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   Bottom elevation: 81.29 in NW, 81.39 in the SE.
This context was revealed by 28 and was left because of the level nature of the tiles and how embedded they were in the soil below. It was probably introduced at the same time as all of the lowest fill below the mosaic floor. It consists of two patches which will be dug together because they are cleanly similar, in the same soil, same relative position, and elevation, with the same tiles, rubbles, and amphora fragments. On the east side they reveal a hard compact soil below. In the west it revealed an area of packed surface, like the area of the northeast quadrant.
