Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   This context we began a section in the apse being dug to find the original floor of the church. This context did not span the entire section, but had been partly dug in the 1990 field season. The soil containd a fair amount of pebble inclusions and seemed more sandy than the overlying fill context 986.
