Notes:   This context was excavated to fully expose the eastern threshold of Room 4 in Unit 2. The threshold is at a similar elevation as the tiel threshold level (Beneath 1040) of the church. The threshold beneath this fill is marble with a broad indentation on the west side and cuttings for door jambs on the north and south sides. The marble threshold is broken on the west side extending ca. 6 cm from the door jambs to the west. A medium sized stone block was removed from beside the threshold on the west face at the southern end. It was part of the fill covering the threshold. This fill had been partly removed in a previous season. The remaining fill was highly weathered.
